Daniel Interlinear Old Greek Version
This attachment is an interlinear of the book of Daniel from the Old Greek version of the Septuagint. As far as I know this interlinear is the only one of it's kind. Most people are familar with the LXX version that is actually Theodotion's translation, which ended up being the received text of many Christians, while the Old Greek version became almost forgotten. I have not completed this project, and I am in no position right now to start back to work on it anytime soon, but I did want to make this available to anyone interested in it. It is unique.
In my observation of the Old Greek version, I personally prefer it over the Greek version of Theodotion. The original LXX translators displayed an impressive Greek vocabulary for translating the Hebrew and Aramaic text, and they also had a more ancient text to translate from than Theodotion had.

im Roman Catholic deployed in Congo for peace operations. I never took Daniel and Revelation literally until a SDA attack me saying that the Roman Catholic Church (whore of Babylone) and the Pope (666,VICARIVS FILII DEI) are the prophecies in the bible.I got a bible but no other resources except internet to find out about Danial/Revelations. Protestants continuouslysly accusing the RCC and the Pope on the internet and I need someone to explain to me in a Roman Catholic teaching about Danial and Revelation. Request if there is any sites to be given to me on the internet defending the RCC and Pope and explain in details about Danial and John's prophecy in accordance of RCC teaching.
My question is, did Danial prophecy already occurred before Revelation? and Revelation occurred in the 1st century or still aocurring since 538 AD till present time? If Danial/Revelations already occurred, who was the guilty nations/people in the prophecy? If you say that Revelation already occurred and fulfilled, why are we still waiting for a new heaven and earth and the temple of God to come down from heaven? |
