Heaven is an actual place where the saints go after they die, to be in that "heavenly Kingdom and celestial paradise with Christ, joined to the company of the holy angels (CCC 1023)." The location of Heaven is unknown. Heaven is also more than a place but it is also "understood to mean that God is in the hearts of the just, as in his holy temple (St. Augustine Sermon on the Mount, see CCC 2794)."













What does the Bible say about Heaven

It's a Kingdom

Jn 18:36- Jesus answered: My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would certainly strive that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now my kingdom is not from hence. Commentary by St. John Chrysostom
