The Antichrist
The antichrist is reference to any anti-Christian person or religion, but the Antichrist that I am dealing with here is the one who will come right before the 2nd coming of Christ at the end of the world, who will lead people away from the truth and will seek to glorify man while denouncing God.

(Dan. 7:8) "I was looking at the horns, and behold, another small horn rose up out of the midst of them, and three of the earlier horns were torn away before it. And behold, there were in that horn eyes like unto human eyes, and a mouth uttering overweening boasts." comments

(2 Thess., 2:3-4,6-9) Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, who opposeth and is lifted above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God." 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will
overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his
coming.9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of
Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, comments
(1JO 2:18) Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that
the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how
we know it is the last hour. comments
(REV 19:20) But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who
had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had
deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his
image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning
sulfur. comments
(20:10) And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of
burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They
will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
